Historical Outline of Manac

1948 After separating from Matsunaga Engyo Kumiai, Matsunaga Chemical Industries is established with a capital of 1,000,000 yen.
1952 Production of photosensitive materials begins.
1953 Production of reagents begins.
1958 Production of bromine compounds begins.
1959 Osaka Office is established.
1960 Acquires the Drug Manufacturer License.
1961 Production of copying chemicals begins.
1964 The Head Office and Factory are moved to Gobun-cho, Fukuyama.
1967 Production of petrochemical solvents begins. Tokyo Office is established.
1969 Production of flame retardants begins. Production of color former raw materials begins.
1975 Establishment of the affiliated company, Matsunaga Chemical Products Co., LTD.
1976 Receives capital from Osaka Small and Medium?sized Business Investment & Consultation Co. LTD.
1977 The Head Office is moved to Nishi-machi, Fukuyama, Hiroshima.
1978 The Minooki Factory goes into operation.
1982 Designated as a Hiroshima Prefecture Advanced Technology Industry.
1983 Receives the “Medium-sized and Small Business Research Institute Award”.
1988 Company name is changed from Matsunaga Chemical Industries to Manac Incorporated.
Matsunaga Chemical Products Co., LTD becomes M.C. Service Corporation.
1990 Listed on the Hiroshima Stock Exchange.
1992 Large-scale flame retardant plant is completed at the Minooki Factory.
1999 Acquires the ISO9002 Certification.
2000 Stocks are listed in Section 2 of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2002 Acquires the ISO9001 Certification.
2003 Acquires the ISO14001 Certification.
The Second Research Institute is completed in the premises of the Minooki Factory.
2004 Iodo-Finechem Corporation is established.
2006 A pharmaceutical production factory is completed in the Minooki Factory Site.
Receives the NEDO Award.
2007 The Head Office is moved to Minooki-cho, Fukuyama City.
The Minooki Factory’s name is changed to Fukuyama Factory.
2009 Acquires 100% ownership of Hakko Tsusho Co., LTD. as a subsidiary company.
2016 MANAC(SHANGHAI)Co., LTD. is established.
The Head Office is moved to Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
