Research and Development

Through joint development with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), we have succeeded in raw material development of the polyimide resin material for the sail of the solar sail ship IKAROS. We are also venturing into epoch-making synthesis and the development of functional materials through joint research with various other universities and research institutes.

Proposition of key intermediates is essential for realizing downstream expansion of business from raw materials to higher-order compounds and further to final products. Manac shall continue to promote proposal-based research and development to carve out new fields as a partner of electronic material makers and pharmaceutical makers.
