Outline |

Matsunaga Chemical Industries was formed in 1948 when the bittern department of Matsunaga Engyo Kumiai was split off for the purpose of developing an integrated treatment for bittern. In 1952 we began the manufacture of photographic light-sensitive materials, and then in 1958 we recognized the future potential for bromine compounds and began the manufacture of and the development of applications for materials such as photo-chemicals,reagents,medicines,catalysts,flame retardants, and dyes.In 1978 the opening of our Minooki factory enabled us to strengthen our manufacturing capabilities to meet the increasing needs of our customers.
At present, our long experience with bromine compound technology has earned us a solid reputation, both domestically and overseas,as a manufacturer of fine chemical products.
We received a "Chusho Kigyo Kenkyu Center Award" in 1983.
In 1990, we were listed on the Hiroshima Stock Exchange, and in 2000 our stocks was listed in Section 2 of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In order to develop, manufacture, and sell iodine-related products, Manac Incorporated entered into a joint venture with Godo Shigen Sangyo Co., Ltd. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., establishing Iodo-Finechem in Chiba Prefecture in 2004.
Kazusa laboratory has been transferred to the site which Manac has possessed in Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture in 2008.
In addition, we acquired all of the stocks of HAKKO TSUSHO CO., LTD. on April 1st in 2009, having made our subsidiary companies.
