Flame retardants are Manac's central business field in which we have approximately 30 years of experience. The flame retardants developed and produced by Manac are added mainly to plastics used in household electric products (televisions, video, audio equipment, etc.) and more recently in personal computers, cell phones, and other IT-related equipment as well as in automobiles, etc. We also provide highly functional flame retardants for special applications.
PS-1200" (brominated polystyrene) has grown to and continues to grow as an internationally competitive product. It exhibits excellent effects mainly in aliphatic and semi-aromatic nylons, glass-reinforced PET, and other engineering plastics. Due to being high in thermal stability PS-1200 can be used with assurance in resins of high molding temperatures and is used in many parts of household electrical products including personal-computer-related products.
